Our full installation service includes everything: removing your old kitchen, all plumbing and electrical work, fitting new units and worktops, installing appliances, tiling, decorating, and a complete clean-up. You'll have a fully functioning, beautiful kitchen with minimal disruption.

How long does a kitchen installation take?
A full kitchen installation typically takes 7-10 working days, depending on the size and complexity of the project. Kitchen door changes can be completed in 2-3 days. We'll provide you with a detailed timeline during your free consultation.
How long does a bathroom installation take?
A standard bathroom installation typically takes 5-8 working days, depending on the size of the space and the scope of the work. Larger projects, or those involving structural changes, moved pipework, or a full re-tile, can take a little longer. We'll give you a clear timeline during your free consultation, so you know exactly what to expect before work starts.
Can I stay in my house during the renovation?
Yes, most customers stay in their home throughout a kitchen or bathroom installation. Your water and electrics may be off for short periods while we carry out plumbing or wiring work, and if you only have one bathroom, we'll agree a plan with you in advance so you're not left without facilities. We keep other rooms protected and clean up at the end of each working day.
Do I need planning permission for a new kitchen or bathroom?
In most cases, no. A like-for-like refit - replacing units, worktops, sanitaryware or fittings within the existing layout - doesn't need planning permission. You're more likely to need it if the work involves a structural change (like knocking through a wall to create an open-plan kitchen/diner), extends the footprint of your home, or affects a listed building or a property in a conservation area. If you're unsure, we're happy to talk through your project during your free home visit and flag anything that might need sign-off before work starts.

Yes. KBM is a fully qualified and insured team with over 35 years of industry experience, including plumbers and electricians who carry out all necessary plumbing, electrical and gas work to current UK building regulations. We're a family-run business, so the same accountable team sees your project through from quote to completion.
What's your payment schedule?
We work on a staged payment structure: a 50% deposit secures your fit date, a further 30% is due on delivery of your kitchen, and the remaining balance is payable once the job is completed to your satisfaction. This spreads the cost across the project rather than asking for everything upfront.
What happens if something needs fixing after installation?
We always book a follow-up visit 3-6 months after your installation, since things like cupboard doors can need a slight adjustment once they've settled under the weight of everyday use. If anything else comes up in the meantime, just give us a call and we'll arrange a time to come back and put it right.
